FAQ:
1) Will your power supply fit my case? Mine is smaller than usual and everything I've tried is too big or just plain wrong. Yes, all we do is power supplies! They are absolutely, positively guarenteed to fit and operate correctly. If we offer different types for your part number, they are ALL direct bolt-in replacements.
2) Does your power supply have that little 3pin fan/c connector? NOTE - Fan-C does NOT control the CPU fan on the motherboard, it only controlled the fan in the old power supply! Fan-C connector is found on the earlier revisions of the ATX-1523F model including Rev. D, Rev. D2 and Rev. D4 and some Rev. E models. We have some originals that have the the fan/c connectors and newer revisions that do not. (fan/c is also sometimes referred to as P9 or P7 on HP computers) The newer revisions that do not have the fan-c connector are designed to eliminate it, it is simply not needed on newer revisions. The 3 pin fan/c connector that went to the motherboard is only used by the OLD power supply you are removing. It is NOT required when using our replacement power supplies. (It controlled the fan on the old power supply, the new power supply controls its fan internally and eliminates the need for the 3pin connector altogether.) Our replacement power supplies do not have this 3pin connector as it is no longer needed by the power supply or the computer.
3) What does OEM mean? It stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. For example - If you order an OEM version for the Bestec ATX-1523 you will receive an original Bestec ATX-1523.
4) My power supply plainly says "100 watts max" right on it. (or 150 watts, or 200 watts, etc....) Why do you even offer a 300 watt version that obviously exceeds the max output specification? Note that the "100 watts max" wording is actually on the power supply, NOT the computer. You could actually put a 500 watt power supply in your computer if you could find one that fits. The power supply only produces power upon demand. That little 100 watt max label means that your power supply is only capable of producing up to 100 watts before it burns out. A 300 watt power supply could produce up to 300 watts before it starts to fail. Also note that your power supply probably failed because it was only 100 watts. (or 150 watts etc...) ANYTHING more than the 100 watts would be a plus.
5) What is the difference between NEW PULL and NEW? New Pull means it was removed from a new computer. Recyclers buy unsold/unused computers and then strip them for parts. We buy a very small percentage of our parts from the recyclers. Complete with little shiny spots where you can tell they were mounted to the case once. NOTE - Everything we sell is NEW from the manufacturer or distributor. Only in very isolated instances will you find the option to purchase New Pulls, and they will be plainly marked in the description.
6) I installed your power supply in my computer and it still does not work. What else could be wrong? Look at the suggestions in this link.
7) How do your power supplies ship? When will I receive it? We ship using 2-3 day USPS PRIORITY MAIL. Items ordered on Friday usually get delivered on Monday. The original Bestec ATX-1523F can be hard to find because of it's special size and configuration, not to mention some of the special connectors. No problem. These units have all of the connectors you need to operate correctly. These original Bestec OEM and replacements go right in - bolt it in, plug it up, works perfect every time, we guarantee it!
